We want everyone, with or without a disability, to be able to use our website with ease.
Our commitment
At Ulu Resort Hotel we want our website (uluresorthotel.com) to be usable by everyone, including people with visual, hearing, motor and cognitive disabilities. We designed and tested the site to meet level AA of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1.
Conformance status
Our website is largely conformant with WCAG 2.1 level AA. The third-party content listed below is not covered by this assessment.
What we have done
- Every page can be used with a keyboard; focus is always visible, and while the menu or gallery is open, focus stays inside it.
- Each page starts with a "Skip to content" link.
- Text and background colours meet at least the AA contrast ratio.
- Images have meaningful alternative text; decorative images are hidden from screen readers.
- All form fields are labelled.
- The page language is set correctly in every language; the Arabic version is presented right to left.
- Videos never autoplay and are only loaded when you click them.
- If reduced motion is enabled in your operating system, transition effects are switched off.
- When zoomed in and on small screens, content can be read without horizontal scrolling.
How we tested
We scanned every page in all languages against WCAG 2.1 AA rules with the axe-core automated accessibility test and fixed the issues found. We also manually checked keyboard navigation, focus order, the mobile layout and the right-to-left layout.
Known limitations
The following content is provided by third parties and its accessibility is not under our direct control:
- The online booking engine (ulu-mersin.rezervasyonal.com)
- Embedded Google Maps
- YouTube videos
- Instagram posts
Some older event posters contain text within the image; their alternative text includes the artist's name and event details. If you have difficulty with any of these, we will gladly take your booking and provide all information by phone or WhatsApp.
Accessibility at the hotel
We have wheelchair-accessible rooms on the ground floor. If you let us know about any special requirements when booking, we will prepare your stay accordingly.
