Aquapark holidays with kids: a guide to safety and fun
For families with children, the aquapark is one of the best-loved parts of an all-inclusive holiday. With a little care and good planning, kids have a blast while parents relax with peace of mind. We've gathered the questions we hear most often from families at the water-slide aquapark at Ulu Resort Hotel, along with our tips.
Safety first
- Follow the age, height and usage rules posted at each slide; not every slide is suitable for every age.
- Always keep young children within sight near the water; even with staff on duty, parents come first.
- Use suitable armbands or a life jacket for children who can't swim.
- Teach children to leave the splash pool right after coming off a slide, to avoid collisions with the next rider.
- Remind them not to run on wet surfaces.
Sun protection
- Reapply water-resistant sunscreen often; water and towels rub it off.
- Take a break in the shade at midday, and wear a hat and T-shirt.
- Keep kids drinking plenty of water; time flies at the aquapark and thirst goes unnoticed.
Good timing
Visiting the aquapark during the cooler parts of the day is both more enjoyable and healthier. Tired children lose focus, so building in rest breaks helps prevent accidents.
Pack in your bag
